A fantastic opportunity has arisen for highly skilled and talented junior chef to join our innovative kitchen team. In your role you will report directly to the section Head Chef where you will primarily be assisting and supporting our Western Kitchen in menu production and preparation. Primarily supporting the breakfast and lunch meal periods you will ensure that the quality of food you prepare and serve is of the highest standard along with assist in maintaining food cost of sales in line with budget.Duties and Responsibilities (but are not limited to the following)Passion for refined cookingAt least 2 years' experience as a qualified chefAbility to work well under pressurePossess common sense and a mature attitudePossess all relevant industry certificationsAbility to work autonomouslyAbility to support the team effectivelyMaintain high and consistent levels of food productionPrepare and present menu items showing variety and flair,



within the cost margins specified by the hotelAssist senior brigade members with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected serviceMaintain excellent presentation standards and cost control whilst working in designated kitchens.Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
