Water Treatment -Service Technician & Business Development Specialist - NSW

ABOUT US Freshwater Systems is a leading Australian water treatment provider with over 30 years of industry experience, delivering innovative filtration solutions to homes and businesses across diverse sectors including healthcare, mining, food & beverage, and agriculture.

THE OPPORTUNITY We're seeking a versatile skilled for an exciting hybrid role combining hands-on water treatment service work (70%) with business development opportunities (30%). This unique position offers the chance to work directly with cutting-edge water treatment technology while also contributing to our growth through relationship building and sales support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Service & Technical (70%)

Perform on-site breakdown services, repairs, and maintenance of water treatment equipment

Install and commission new treatment systems

Conduct water quality testing and adjust chemical dosing levels

Maintain detailed service records and compliance documentation

Work with membrane technology (RO, UF, MF), ion exchange, UV sterilization, and water management systems

Business Development (30%)





Build relationships with existing and potential customers during service visits

Identify sales opportunities and provide technical consultation

Support product demonstrations and customer education

Assist with market intelligence and customer feedback

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Computer literacy (MS Office, service software)

COVID-19 and flu vaccination (current)

Highly Desirable

Field service experience in water treatment

Trade background (plumbing/electrical advantageous)

Sales or customer relationship experience

+ 2 Years industry Experience
