Been on the poles long enough? Teach the next crew.
CTC Safety has trained NSW industry for over 30 years. We’re looking for an experienced lineworker with a current TAE to run our overhead powerlines and ASP training. You’ll pass on what you know about working safely on the network, without the call-outs or storm work. Immediate start available.
What you’ll be doing
Delivering ASP Level 1 and Level 2 training and the annual refreshers, including pole-top rescue, EWP rescue, LV rescue and CPR
Running UETDREL006 (working safely near live electrical apparatus) and safety observer training for civil, construction and tree crews
Hands-on training on our training poles and in the classroom at our Sydney, Emu Plains and Tuggerah training centres
On-site delivery at client sites across metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW
Assessing competency and keeping training records accurate (we’ll show you how our systems work)
Where you’ll work
You’ll deliver training across our Sydney, Emu Plains and Tuggerah training centres, with metro client sites as day trips. Regional jobs come up, but overnight travel is capped at 5 nights away from home per month, and LAHA is paid on top of salary for every night away, with accommodation booked and paid by CTC. The cap is a hard limit, not a guideline,
so you can plan your life around it.
What you’ll need
Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
A lineworker trade: Cert III in ESI Distribution (Overhead) or equivalent
At least 5 years of hands-on experience on the overhead network
A current driver’s licence and White Card
Willingness to travel within the limits above
NSW Working with Children Check, or the ability to get one
Availability for an immediate start
Central Coast–based applicants will be given priority
What’s in it for you
No on-call and no storm call-outs
Regional travel capped at 5 nights a month, with LAHA paid for every night away
$95,400 – $112,500 including super
Company vehicle (restricted private use)
Annual bonus
9-day fortnight
Work that still uses everything you know, with less wear on your body
A small, supportive team that values real industry experience over classroom theory
Full-time preferred, but part time or contract arrangements will be considered for the right person. If you’re semi-retired or easing off the tools, we’d still like to hear from you.
If you’ve climbed, rescued, and know what goes wrong near live mains, you already have the hard part.
