- Must have a currency in Advanced Life Support training
- Must be Neonatal Resuscitation confident

The local hospital is a regional facility with approximately 70-80 beds, providing emergency, acute, maternity, surgical, and aged care services, with 24/7 coverage for the town and surrounding communities.
