Our client Our client, a key agency in Australia's national security and intelligence sector, require the services of a Lead Network Security Engineer.
Duties of the Lead Network Security Engineers:
- Plan, implement and operate network services and systems, including hardware and virtual environments.
- Test and maintain network infrastructure, including software and hardware devices, and provide feedback on network requirements, architecture and infrastructure.
- Assess complex information systems using contemporary security frameworks, toolsets, and knowledge of malicious actor techniques, tools and processes.
- Assess critical infrastructure systems in a collaborative team setting and contribute advice on hardening and defending systems against advanced threats.
Skills and Experience Required
- Ability to implement, maintain and assess and recommend improvement to established network practices.
- Ability to configure and utilise computer protection components (e.g. hardware firewalls, servers,
routers) as appropriate.
- Ability to assess network security architectures and provide recommendations on improving. Ability to apply defence in depth in network design and configuration.
- Ability to assess network device configurations and provide recommendations on improving network security.
- Demonstrated experience in securing network communications.
