The Cotswolds Retirement Village is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our aged care team on a casual basis. Based in North Turramurra NSW 2074, you will be part of a supportive healthcare team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to older adults in a residential retirement village.

What you'll be doing
- Providing direct clinical care to residents, including wound care, medication administration and health monitoring
- Assessing residents’ health status and developing appropriate care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with doctors, allied health professionals and care staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Responding promptly to resident health concerns and escalating issues appropriately
- Supporting residents’ emotional and psychological wellbeing through compassionate communication and active listening
- Mentoring and supporting care staff in the delivery of safe and effective aged care practices
- Adhering to all relevant legislation, standards and policies, including aged care regulations and infection control protocols
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment and participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience working in an aged care or retirement living environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families and team members
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical judgements in a busy care workplace
- Current knowledge of infection control, medication safety and health and safety legislation
- A compassionate, person-centred approach to care delivery
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage time efficiently
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred experience
- Experience in a similar sized retirement village or residential aged care facility
- Understanding of palliative and dementia care principles
- Previous casual nursing roles demonstrating flexibility and reliability
