About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Park Beach Child Care Centre in Coffs Harbour, NSW on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care that supports children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating engaging learning experiences that promote each child’s growth across all developmental domains whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and care.

Key responsibilities

- Planning and delivering play-based learning experiences that are age-appropriate, inclusive and responsive to children’s interests and developmental needs
- Paramountcy consideration to Child Safety and Wellbeing
- Understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting responsiblities
- Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and other relevant curriculum guidelines in daily practice
- Maintaining a secure, clean and stimulating learning environment that supports exploration, creativity and development
- Building positive relationships with children and families, fostering trust and open communication
- Observing and assessing children’s learning and development, documenting progress and sharing insights with families
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistency in educational approaches and best practice standards
- Supporting children’s health, safety and wellbeing, including implementing appropriate hygiene and nutrition routines




- Managing behavioural expectations with sensitivity, using positive guidance strategies
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Centre’s educational programs and practices
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with all regulatory requirements and centre policies

What we’re looking for

- A recognised Early Childhood Education qualification of Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education
- Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate for early childhood settings
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWC) clearance or willingness to obtain one
- Sound knowledge of child development and evidence-based early learning practices
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, welcoming environments for all children and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families and colleagues
- Patience, creativity and a genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team whilst also taking initiative independently
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and engaging in ongoing professional development
- Experience in early childhood education settings is highly desirable
- Complete required child protection & child-safety training
