About the Opportunity:

The Claims Assessor will work closely with the Senior Claims Assessor and report to the Claims Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to handle and process Trade Credit insurance claims within delegated authority, ensuring all actions are accurate, timely, and compliant with policy terms.



This position involves end-to-end claims management, including verifying policy coverage, conducting claim assessments, liaising with stakeholders, and providing recommendations for claim settlements. The role supports the delivery of excellent customer outcomes through efficient claims handling, sound commercial judgement, and strong technical knowledge of trade credit insurance.

Role responsibilities include;

- Assess and manage trade credit claims from lodgement to resolution in line with policy terms and guidelines.
- Analyse credit documentation to verify claim validity.
- Interpret policy wordings and endorsements to determine coverage.
- Investigate causes of loss and ensure compliance with policy conditions.
- Liaise with insolvency practitioners to confirm recoverability.
- Review debt collection and legal recovery efforts for loss mitigation.
- Collaborate with underwriters on risk appetite and systemic issues.
- Communicate claim progress and requirements with brokers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Prepare clear recommendations for claim outcomes and maintain audit-compliant records.
- Identify and escalation potential fraud, and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement.

About You:

- As our preferred candidate,



you will have:
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role
- Experience in Trade Credit Insurance, including knowledge of relevant policy wordings and claim procedures, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management software.
- Advanced MS Excel Skills
- Basic Accounting principles knowledge
- Sound knowledge of the trade credit insurance product.
- Knowledge of trade credit insurance policies and procedures.
