Secondary Teacher Positions- English, History, Language

Northside Montessori School is seeking Secondary teacher/s to teach English, History, and Language (Spanish, French, or other) to commence in Term 1, 2027. This is a permanent position available as full time or part-time. The school is a well-established and highly regarded Montessori school located in Pymble, Sydney, catering for students from Early Childhood, Primary and Adolescent (Secondary). The curriculum is based on the work of Dr Montessori while also registered and accredited to meet the requirements of NESA, and the school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Years 11 & 12.

Key responsibilities

- Planning, development and delivery of curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Assessment and reporting requirements
- Teaching English, History, and Language across Year 7-12 and IB Diploma programs
- Working collaboratively with staff and families
- Delivering content in a practical and engaging manner

About you

- Suitably qualified with a Teaching Degree
- Current Teacher Accreditation through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Right to work in Australia
- Expertise in your subject area
- Creative, flexible approach to teaching




- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience serving diverse learning needs
- Passion for working with the adolescent age group
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate and Asthma & Anaphylaxis training (can be provided)
- Willingness to undertake specific Montessori Adolescent Teacher Training and subject specific International Baccalaureate training
- Experience working within a Montessori School would be an advantage
- Experience across a range of media and technology would be a great advantage
