We are a growing mobile automotive service business based in South Australia, providing professional vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair solutions to customers. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team.
About the Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing and repairing motor vehicles. This position requires a hands-on mechanic who can independently attend customer locations and deliver quality mechanical services in a mobile automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical faults in motor vehicles.
- Perform scheduled vehicle servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and steering components.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Perform vehicle inspections and identify components requiring repair or replacement.
- Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Test vehicle performance and ensure repairs are completed to required standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
- Attend customer locations to provide mobile mechanical services.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle conditions and recommended repairs.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant motor mechanic experience.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Demonstrated experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
- Good mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
