Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking Locum ED SRMOs to support Emergency Departments across rural and regional hospitals.

This role suits PGY2+ doctors wanting ED locum work that can fit around study, training, family, travel or other commitments.

You will consolidate your ED skills, manage acute presentations and work with experienced hospital teams in well-supported environments.

Clinical Environment

- Structured ED shifts with supervision and escalation pathways
- Minor injuries, acute presentations and resuscitation exposure
- Support from FACEMs, senior registrars or CMOs
- Procedural skills including suturing, cannulation and ALS
- Multidisciplinary support from nurses, retrieval and allied health

Requirements

- General AHPRA Registration
- PGY2+ with recent Emergency or acute medicine experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing

Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
