We are looking for a motivated and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong Best Practice experience, excellent organizational skills and a genuine interest in developing their career within our medical practice. You will work closely with our doctors and team and have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as your skills and confidence develop.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and provide helpful, professional service in person and over the phone.
- Manage appointments, patient registrations and records accurately.
- Process patient payments, billing and Medicare claims.
- Handle correspondence and support the smooth running of a practice.
- Work closely with reception colleagues, GPs, and Nurses.
- Protect patient confidentiality and follow clinic policies and procedures.
· Provide a high standard of patient service
· Support the day-to-day operations of the practice
About you
- Previous medical reception experience at least 6 months
- Robust Best Practice software experience
- Confident handling a busy medical reception
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Organised, reliable and able to multitask
- Professional and positive approach
- Can work well both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to take on responsibility
