The Production Engineer is responsible for providing technical engineering support to the underground mining operation to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of the mine production plan.

The role is responsible for developing, monitoring and optimising short-term production plans and schedules, coordinating mining activities and providing engineering solutions to support secure and productive underground mining operations.

The role also provides technical input into mine planning, production forecasting, operational improvement initiatives and the implementation of mining systems, standards and processes.

The Production Engineer works closely with the Mining, Geology, Processing, Maintenance, Technical Services and HSE teams to identify production constraints, improve operational performance and support the achievement of production, development, cost and safety objectives.

This is on on-site position 8:6 roster ex Brisbane or Townsville, offering good camp facilities, great team culture and room to grow.

- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Eligibility for registration as a professional engineer in Queensland, where applicable.
- Minimum 3 years' relevant mining engineering experience.
- Underground hard-rock mining experience.
- Demonstrated experience in production engineering, mine planning or operational technical services.
- Demonstrated understanding of underground mining methods and production processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage mine production schedules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and risk management.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
