About The Company

LGT Bank was built around a explicit vision: bringing global best practices and institutional-quality investment expertise to Australian clients. The business combines an authentic, personalised, client-first approach with entrepreneurial thinking, high-quality advice and a deep understanding of Australia’s private wealth landscape. In 2022, LGT Wealth Management became part of LGT Group, gaining the strength, stability and global expertise of an international private banking group while retaining its long-term perspective and private ownership model.

This foundation enables the business to focus on delivering considered advice and expertise to clients across generations.

About The Role

LGT Bank is seeking experienced Business Analysts to join its growing Delivery function. These roles will support strategic change and mandatory initiatives across the business, helping turn business needs into well-defined requirements and practical solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers and testers to support delivery from early discovery and solution design through to testing and release.

Successful candidates will bring strong analytical and communication skills, an organised approach to delivery, and confidence working across multiple workstreams. Relevant project experience may include regulatory and compliance change, process optimisation, performance reporting, financial products, digital onboarding, data initiatives, or improvements that increase scale and efficiency in client-facing advisory environments. These opportunities are offered on 12-month fixed-term contracts.

Qualifications A degree qualification is required.

Candidates should have at least three years of Business Analyst experience, or five or more years of experience in wealth management with Business Analyst responsibilities.

Experience working with wealth advisory or private banking platforms is important, and Avaloq experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of process mapping, Agile delivery and user story development is expected. Familiarity with wealth management products and services, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and change methodologies will be advantageous.

Applicants should be proficient in JIRA and have advanced Excel skills. The ideal candidate is resilient, methodical and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining clear documentation and effective stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify requirements, prioritise initiatives and resolve issues across multiple workstreams. Gather and document requirements, then translate them into clear, sprint-ready user stories with measurable acceptance criteria. Work with Business Owners and Senior Business Analysts to break down epics into deliverable stories and walk requirements through with both business and technology teams.

Support Project Managers with planning and implementation of business and technical work. Collaborate with developers and testers throughout each sprint, helping teams meet sprint goals and deliver value to stakeholders. Contribute across definition, design and testing, ensuring requirements remain traceable to test cases and that releases meet agreed quality expectations.

Prepare stakeholder communications, support demonstrations and training, and assist with business procedure documentation. Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to business cases or lean canvases for future initiatives. Bring a practical, data-informed approach to problem solving and help ensure proposed changes are clearly understood by impacted teams.

Benefits

LGT Bank is committed to the ongoing development of its employees. Your development will be tailored to your role, strengths and future career direction. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change initiatives within a growing wealth management business, collaborate with experienced colleagues, and work with the global expertise and stability of LGT Group.

The role also offers exposure to a broad range of strategic and regulatory initiatives within Australia’s private wealth sector.

Equal Opportunity

LGT Bank is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. The organisation seeks to attract and retain talented people regardless of gender, marital or parental status, ethnic origin, nationality, age, background, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity. Applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
