About Paisley Park
At Paisley Park Early Learning Centres, we believe exceptional early childhood education begins with exceptional people, meaningful relationships and an unwavering commitment to children.
We are dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education and care through environments where children feel protected, valued, connected and inspired to learn. Our centres are built on strong partnerships with families, passionate Educators, professional leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We take pride in the people who make Paisley Park what it is: experienced professionals who bring commitment, resilience, integrity and a genuine passion for early learning to their work every day.
We are now seeking an exceptional Centre Director to lead our beautiful Paisley Park Templestowe service in Victoria.
About the opportunity: A beautiful centre. An exciting leadership opportunity.
Some leadership opportunities are about maintaining what already exists. Others give you the opportunity to elevate a service, inspire a team and make a lasting professional impact. At Paisley Park Templestowe, extensive renovations have transformed the 120-place centre into a beautiful early learning environment, with thoughtfully designed spaces and exceptional facilities that support children's learning, wellbeing, creativity and connection with the world around them.
The Centre features a commercial kitchen, a welcoming Parent Café, an expansive outdoor environment and the wonderful presence of chickens, rabbits and other pets that enrich children's everyday experiences. These features create opportunities for children to develop curiosity, care, responsibility and meaningful connections with nature and living things.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Centre Director to lead a centre with outstanding physical foundations while shaping the culture, strengthening the team, elevating educational practice and building on the centre's place within the local community.
We are looking for a leader who can see the potential in a beautiful environment and translate it into an exceptional experience for children, families and Educators. You will have the opportunity to make your mark, bring your leadership vision to life and develop a service that reflects your commitment to quality, strong relationships and professional excellence.
For the right person, this could be more than your next career move. It could be the beginning of a long-term professional home within an organisation that values loyalty, commitment, resilience and people who genuinely care about the work they do.
Experienced leadership. Genuine mentoring. A long-term home.
One of the most valuable aspects of joining Paisley Park is the depth of experience within our leadership team. You will be supported by experienced, hands-on leaders and mentors who have been part of Paisley Park for more than 20 years. Their longstanding commitment, loyalty, professionalism and resilience reflect the strength of our organisation and our belief in building lasting relationships with the people who lead our services.
These are leaders who understand the realities of early childhood education and care. They bring practical knowledge, sound judgement and a genuine willingness to work alongside Centre Directors, helping them navigate operational challenges, strengthen team performance, maintain regulatory compliance and continually improve educational quality.
This is not leadership support from a distance. You will have access to experienced people who understand the sector, are invested in your success and can provide practical guidance when it matters. We want our Centre Directors to feel supported, empowered and confident in their leadership, while being accountable for the quality, culture and performance of their service.
We would love you to be the perfect fit to help make Paisley Park Templestowe a standout early learning service in its local community, known for its exceptional environment, outstanding team, meaningful family relationships, and unwavering commitment to children's safety and wellbeing.
Your role and impact
As Centre Director, you will lead the overall operation, educational quality, people, compliance and performance of Paisley Park Templestowe. Champion child safety and protection
Paisley Park is a child-safe organisation. This commitment is fundamental to who we are and is non-negotiable.
- Embed children's safety, rights, dignity and wellbeing into everyday decisions, interactions, leadership practices and service operations.

Drive operational excellence and sustainable performance
- Oversee the effective day-to-day operation of the centre, maintaining strong systems, processes and professional standards.

- Develop genuine, trusting relationships with families and partner with them in their children's early learning journey.
- Foster an approachable, welcoming environment where families feel comfortable, respected and connected to the centre.
- Make the most of the Parent Café and welcoming facilities to encourage meaningful connections and a strong sense of community.
- Build relationships with local schools, businesses, community organisations and other relevant stakeholders.
- Confidently represent Paisley Park Templestowe and contribute to its reputation as a trusted, valued and high-quality local service.
- Respond professionally to feedback and concerns, recognising that open communication and strong partnerships are essential to family confidence.
About you: The leader we are looking for
We are looking for more than someone who can manage a Centre. We want a leader who can inspire a team, elevate educational practice, build trust with families and create a workplace where people are proud of the contribution they make. You will be an experienced early childhood leader who combines operational capability with warmth, integrity, accountability and a genuine passion for children and their families.
You will bring:

- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration where required for the position, or the ability to meet the applicable role requirements.
- Demonstrated experience as a Centre Director or in a senior early childhood leadership position, with the capability to lead a service confidently and independently.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and relevant Victorian regulatory requirements.
- A sound understanding of child safety, child protection, mandatory reporting obligations and the practical implementation of child-safe practices.
- Proven ability to lead, develop and retain a diverse team while establishing clear expectations and a positive workplace culture.
- Experience in rostering, workforce planning, staffing, operational management, budgeting and resource allocation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with families, Educators, leadership and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- The confidence to make sound decisions, manage challenging situations and maintain professional standards.
- A performance-focused approach to leadership, with the ability to engage Educators in professional learning, reflection and continuous quality improvement.
