With extensive experience in the jewellery and precious metals industry, we are now taking an exciting step in our growth by opening our first brick-and-mortar boutique in Moonee Ponds.

Our vision is to create an elevated and personalised experience for clients looking to buy, sell or loan against their gold and jewellery, combining expertise, professionalism and genuine care.

About the Role

We are seeking a confident, personable and motivated Jewellery and Gold Buying Consultant to join our team in a diverse and rewarding role.

This is not your typical retail position. You will be involved in buying and selling gold and jewellery, while helping clients discover unique vintage and pre-loved pieces.

From negotiating the purchase of precious metals and jewellery to assisting clients with sentimental or inherited pieces, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional client experience.

As part of a growing business, you will also have the chance to be involved in online sales, social media content, collection launches and the development of our new boutique.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver warm,



knowledgeable and personalised customer service.

- Build genuine, long-lasting relationships with new and returning clients.

- Confidently and professionally negotiate the purchase of gold, jewellery and precious metals.

- Assist clients with buying, selling and loan enquiries.

- Handle sentimental and inherited jewellery with care, sensitivity and professionalism.

- Respond to online enquiries and assist with digital sales.

- Support new jewellery collection launches, product arrivals and in-store events.

- Assist with daily boutique operations, including opening and closing procedures.

- Work collaboratively with the team to contribute to sales objectives and business growth.

About You

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills and is confident in a sales and negotiation environment.

The ideal candidate will bring:

- Previous experience in retail sales, luxury retail, high-value sales or a customer-focused environment.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.

- Confidence in discussing and negotiating higher-value transactions.

- A warm, professional and approachable manner.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.





- A proactive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities.

- Confidence using technology and learning new systems.

- Comfort participating in social media content, including appearing on camera.

- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.

- A genuine interest in vintage jewellery, precious metals and gemstones.

Previous experience in gold buying, jewellery sales or the precious metals industry will be highly regarded but is not essential. We welcome applicants with strong sales & interpersonal skills who are enthusiastic about learning the industry. Comprehensive training will be provided.

This is a full-time position based at our Moonee Ponds boutique.
