## Veterinary Nurse We’re growing. Build your future with Tasmanian Veterinary Hospitals. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for experienced Veterinary Nurses to grow with us. As we continue to invest in our hospitals, services and people, we’re creating opportunities for nurses who want to use their clinical skills, take an active role in patient care and continue developing their careers. Whether you’re looking to broaden your experience, build on an area of interest or take on greater mentoring responsibilities, there is room to make your mark at TVH. Full-time and part time opportunities available. ## A growing organisation with a strong team behind it Tasmanian Veterinary Hospitals is a locally owned Tasmanian veterinary organisation with four hospitals located at Bellerive, Mornington, Kingston and Sorell. Our purpose is to promote, support and enhance the relationship between people and their pets. That starts with investing in the people who deliver their care. You’ll work alongside experienced veterinarians, qualified nurses, Hospital Supervisors and dedicated support teams, guided by our values of respect, teamwork, flexibility, celebration and professional excellence. We take pride in our work, share our knowledge and support one another through busy days—with plenty of reasons to laugh along the way. ## Put your nursing skills to work Our nurses are essential members of the clinical team. Your knowledge, judgement and contribution are valued, and you’ll take an active role throughout each patient’s journey. Your role will include:

critical and complex patients
- Patient admissions, discharges and coordination of prescribed treatments
- IV catheter placement, blood collection and laboratory procedures
- Supporting diagnostic imaging and dental procedures
- Nurse consultations and client education
- Assisting with emergency presentations and patient stabilisation
- Mentoring developing nurses and Nurse Assistants
- Contributing ideas to improve patient care and how our hospitals work You’ll have opportunities to strengthen your clinical skills, develop your interests and take on mentoring or leadership responsibilities as your experience grows. ## Modern facilities. Continued investment. Our growth is backed by ongoing investment in our hospital spaces, equipment and technology. You’ll work with modern surgical, diagnostic imaging, anaesthetic monitoring, dental and in-house laboratory equipment, supported by dedicated treatment areas and hospital wards. We continue to improve how we work, giving our teams the tools, training and support they need to deliver a high standard of patient and client care. ## What you’ll bring We’re looking for an experienced nurse who takes pride in their work, thinks ahead and contributes positively to the team. You’ll bring:
- Relevant hands-on veterinary nursing experience
- Confidence in anaesthesia, surgical nursing and patient care
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Initiative and the ability to respond calmly as priorities change
- A compassionate approach to patients and clients
- A willingness to share your knowledge and support your colleagues
- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is desirable but not essential. Experienced applicants who do not hold the formal qualification are also encouraged to apply. ## What You’ll Receive As part of our team, you’ll have access to:
- A $600 annual professional development allowance
- An annual pet-care allowance and generous staff discounts
- Mentoring from experienced veterinarians and qualified nurses
- Clinical, mentoring and leadership development supported by our dedicated Training Manager
- Modern equipment and progressive veterinary technology
- Our Employee Assistance Program
- On-site parking
