About the role
Australian International Islamic College (AIIC) invites applications for the senior leadership position of Head of Primary, leading the educational, pastoral and operational life of the Primary School, from Prep to Year 6. Reporting to the Campus Principal, you will strengthen teaching and learning, develop staff and build positive partnerships with families. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will help turn school improvement priorities into consistent practice, guided by the College's Islamic ethos and commitment to student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

- Lead curriculum, assessment and reporting, using student achievement data to improve teaching and learning.
- Develop teachers and teacher aides through professional learning, performance development and clear expectations.
- Lead student wellbeing, attendance, pastoral care and behaviour support.
- Coordinate inclusive education, NCCD and EAL/D support, including interventions and accurate records.
- Manage primary school routines, timetables, staff duties,



relief arrangements, enrolments and student transitions.
- Oversee NAPLAN, assemblies, Salah and primary school events, and maintain effective communication with families. About you
- Successful primary teaching and leadership experience, with the ability to lead staff and manage school operations.
- Strong knowledge of primary curriculum, assessment and evidence-informed teaching, supported by effective use of student data.
- Experience supporting diverse learners, including students with disability and students learning English as an additional language or dialect.
- Sound judgement in student wellbeing, behaviour support, child protection and parent matters.
- Clear communication, solid organisation and a collaborative approach to leadership, with accountability for outcomes.
- Relevant teaching qualifications and current Queensland College of Teachers registration, or eligibility for registration before commencement.
- A commitment to upholding the College's Islamic ethos and supporting students' academic, social, emotional and spiritual development.
