Chadwick Switchboards is seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to grow our business across Sydney and NSW. The opportunity Your focus will be developing relationships with electrical contractors and other project stakeholders, identifying upcoming opportunities and converting quotations into profitable orders. You’ll spend time with customers, understand their project requirements and position Chadwick as a trusted switchboard manufacturing partner.

Key responsibilities
include:
- Develop current business and grow existing customer accounts across Sydney and NSW.
- Build relationships with electrical contractors, consultants, builders and project stakeholders.
- Identify projects early and position Chadwick for upcoming tenders and negotiated opportunities.
- Work with Estimating and Engineering to prepare competitive,



technically suitable proposals.
- Present quotations, follow up opportunities, negotiate commercial terms and secure orders.
- Deliver agreed sales and gross-margin targets.
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and sales forecast.
- Coordinate clear handovers to the project delivery team. What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who understands the electrical industry, enjoys building customer relationships and can demonstrate success winning business. You’ll bring:
- Successful BDM, account management or technical-sales experience in the electrical industry.
- Experience with switchboards, switchgear, low-voltage power distribution, electrical manufacturing or electrical wholesale.
- The ability to understand customer requirements and discuss electrical products and project solutions confidently.
- Strong relationship-building, quotation follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Commercial judgement, including an understanding of pricing and gross margin.
- A proactive approach to finding opportunities and progressing them through to an order.
- Australian working rights and a current Australian driver licence. Direct switchboard sales experience and established NSW contractor relationships will be highly regarded. We also welcome applications from successful electrical-industry salespeople ready to move into custom switchboard solutions. An electrical trade or engineering qualification would be an advantage.
