About the Role

- Undertake light, medium and heavy fabrication using carbon steel and stainless steel, ensuring all work meets project specifications and quality requirements
- Perform GMAW and FCAW welding to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Accurately mark out, cut, prepare, fit and assemble components to specified dimensions and tolerances
- Work within Blitz Industrial’s ISO 9001 certified quality management system, following documented procedures, inspection requirements and material traceability processes
- Complete required fabrication, inspection and quality records
- Follow company safety procedures, site requirements and permit systems What You’ll Bring
- A recognised Boilermaker trade qualification
- Construction White Card
- Solid ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication details and welding symbols, and fabricate accurately to specified dimensions and tolerances
- Proficiency in both GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (flux-cored) welding
- Experience fabricating carbon steel and stainless steel




- The ability to work to approved WPS and meet specified weld quality requirements
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meeting project schedules and deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards
- A commitment to documented quality procedures, accurate records and reporting defects or non-conformances
- A strong commitment to safe work practices, hazard identification and reporting
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to meet site medical and onboarding requirements Applicants must successfully pass the required ISO 9606-1 weld qualification tests as a condition of employment. Desirable Skills and Experience
- Carbon steel and stainless-steel pressure pipe fabrication and welding, including the ability to read and interpret isometric drawings
- Relevant ISO 9606-1 pipe welding qualifications
- GTAW (TIG) welding
- Aluminium fabrication and welding
- Heavy industrial and shutdown experience
