- Hybrid/Versatile Roles We’re working with a leading insurance organisation that is setting up a brand new discovery function and they’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to help build it from the ground up. The team will be the front for new technology requests across the Consumer business. You’ll take ideas from the moment they land through to being ready for delivery, clarifying what the business is really asking for, challenging requests that aren’t well defined, assessing feasibility and impacts, and giving stakeholders a clear early view of the likely scope, cost and value before significant technology effort is committed. - Help establish a new discovery capability from scratch, including the intake process, prioritisation governance, scoring and the handover into delivery
- Work across a broad portfolio of Consumer initiatives spanning digital, backend, API and end-to-end change, rather than being tied to one squad or project
- Real influence over which initiatives progress into delivery, working directly with senior business stakeholders and technology teams
- Report directly to the hiring manager in a flat, supportive team alongside other BAs and Scrum Masters
- Exposure to AI-related opportunities as the organisation explores new ways of working What we’re looking for:




- 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst with a strong technical and digital orientation
- Proven experience leading discovery: defining problems, shaping options and forming a clear recommendation
- Confidence to challenge assumptions and push back on poorly defined requests, including with senior stakeholders
- Experience assessing feasibility, dependencies and upstream/downstream impacts, and providing rough order of magnitude estimates for scope, effort, timing and cost
- Comfortable building or contributing to business cases, including benefits, investment and regulatory or legal considerations
- A broad, enterprise-level mindset with the ability to work across multiple teams, systems and lines of business
- Highly autonomous and self-directed, someone who takes ownership of their workstream and drives it from start to finish
- General insurance experience is a plus, and Guidewire experience is a bonus
