About the role
FuelXpress is seeking an experienced Food Service Manager to take ownership of the Food Xpress operation in Palmerston. You will be responsible for end-to-end operational performance, food safety, customer experience, team leadership, compliance and profitability, while protecting and building the FuelXpress brand reputation. The role also manages fuel service operations and the forecourt.

Key responsibilities

- Manage all day-to-day food service, including fuel bays and forecourt operations.
- Oversee kitchen, preparation, service, merchandising and back-of-house functions.
- Maintain operational standards, workflows and service consistency.
- Drive efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, onboard, coach and develop team members.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and customer service.
- Develop supervisors and succession plans.
- Lead and collaborate with the FX General Manager, support leadership, subcontractors and consultants to deliver operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with the Food Act 2004 (NT) and the Australia Recent Zealand Food Standards Code.
- Maintain audits, logs, SOPs and food safety systems. About you
- Previous food service or hospitality management experience.




- Strong leadership and people management capability.
- Knowledge of food safety compliance requirements.
- Commercial understanding of labour, stock and cost controls.
- Current driver licence.
- Excellent English language skills.
