About the role
A hands-on Shift Manager role at Fuel Bakehouse, working alongside the retail team to take responsibility for running the shift and supporting the people on it. You'll lead with a focus on outstanding customer service and bringing out the best in your team, within a culture centred on having fun, being productive and supporting each other.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the shift, allocate tasks and keep service running smoothly
- Coach and support staff, giving clear direction and practical feedback
- Manage breaks and keep the team organised and productive
- Maintain product presentation, stock levels, cleanliness and food safety standards
- Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally
- Complete opening, closing and handover duties About you




- Experience in a busy bakery, café, takeaway or similar hospitality environment
- Experience supervising a team or confidently leading a shift
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A practical understanding of food safety and cash handling
- Reliability, initiative and a willingness to work alongside the team
- Lead by example and take ownership of your shift
- Set high standards while treating people fairly and respectfully
- Stay calm under pressure and step in wherever needed
- Address problems early and communicate clearly with the Store Manager
