We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join our growing team and support the successful delivery of our civil construction projects.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role suited to an Engineering Surveyor who enjoys working on-site and being actively involved in civil construction. You’ll work closely with our Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and construction crews to provide accurate surveying and set-out services across a range of subdivision, road construction and bulk earthworks projects. You’ll play an key role in ensuring works are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out construction set-out for subdivisions, roads, drainage, services and bulk earthworks.
- Establish and maintain survey control points and site benchmarks.
- Interpret engineering drawings, design plans and construction specifications.
- Undertake topographical, detail and as-constructed surveys.
- Perform earthworks volume calculations and quantity measurements.
- Prepare survey data and set-out information for construction crews and plant operators.
- Support GPS machine control systems, including preparing and checking machine control models.
- Identify and resolve survey discrepancies and provide practical solutions to site teams.
- Maintain accurate survey records, field notes and as-built documentation.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers,



Supervisors and subcontractors to coordinate surveying requirements.
- Ensure surveying activities comply with project specifications, quality requirements and relevant standards. About You We’re looking for a reliable, motivated and technically capable Surveyor who can work independently and contribute to the smooth delivery of our projects. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in engineering or construction surveying, preferably within civil contracting.
- Experience working on land subdivisions, road construction and bulk earthworks projects.
- Proficiency with GPS/GNSS, total stations and surveying equipment.
- Experience with surveying and civil design software.
- Knowledge of GPS machine control systems and earthworks modelling.
- The ability to interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and problem-solving ability.
- Confidence working independently and communicating with site teams.
- A current driver’s licence. Experience with Trimble, Leica, Topcon, AutoCAD or 12d Model will be highly regarded.
