About the Role
The Virtual Emergency Department provides 24-hour video consultations to patients and healthcare professionals across Victoria. As a Virtual Registered Nurse, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and triage of adult and paediatric patients via video consultation
- Deliver evidence-based healthcare advice within your scope of practice
- Facilitate appropriate referrals and care pathways
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary virtual care team




- Support patients to access the right care, at the right time, in the right place Who We're Looking For We're seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are:
- Passionate about delivering outstanding patient-centred care
- Comfortable making clinical decisions in a fast-paced virtual environment
- Adaptable and confident using digital health technologies

- Robust communicators who thrive in a collaborative team environment To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of four years post registration experience as a Registered Nurse
- Critical Care post graduate qualification (not a prerequisite but desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to independently undertake comprehensive and timely patient assessments (adult and/or paediatric)
- Demonstrates advanced critical thinking skills to determine safe and accurate patient triage category and plan of care
- Advanced IT and trouble shooting skills
- Must be able to work a rotating roster including weekends and nightshifts
