About the role
An opportunity has become available for an exceptional animal attendant to join Pet Resorts Australia Team. This role is physically demanding and fast paced, requiring a team member with a "can do" attitude and prepared to work in all weather conditions. Successful applicant must be flexible for work across a 7-day roster.
Key responsibilities
- Husbandry and handling of animals
- Customer Service
- Monitor and report animal health
- Upkeep and clean the facilities and site
- Work in a team
- Socialising multiple dogs, matching groups according to dog behaviour and personality About you
- Proven animal husbandry and canine handling knowledge and experience
- Cat and dog breed knowledge along with good behaviour / medical observation skills
- Must be comfortable with handling dogs with varying size and temperament
- Must be comfortable with handling cats
- Strong understanding of reading & understanding dog and cat behaviour
- Knowledge of cleaning and infection control procedures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Team skills, and a positive loyal attitude
- Robust Customer Service and client communication skills
- Current driver's license and own transport
