Critical Literacy Teacher – Junior School Commencing Term 1, 2027 | Part-time (2 days per week) We are seeking a passionate and qualified Critical Literacy Teacher to inspire a love of reading while developing students’ literacy, research and critical thinking skills in our Junior School. Working collaboratively with our Junior School teaching and library teams, you will deliver engaging, evidence-based literacy programs that complement the English curriculum and equip students to confidently navigate and evaluate information across print, media and digital platforms. - A personal commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the mission and ethos of Northside Christian College.
- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
- Extensive experience and/or qualifications in literacy instruction, with Spalding Education (MILA 1) certification highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging,



evidence-based teaching programs that develop critical and creative thinking.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and effective teaching practices aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
- Confidence in integrating digital technologies to enhance student learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students and colleagues.
- A passion for fostering a love of reading and supporting students' literacy development.
