About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Marketplace Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of a growing retail marketplace business. This role focuses on maintaining operational excellence across merchant performance, product catalogues, pricing, store availability, and integrations. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate operational issues, ensure data quality, support merchant integrations, and contribute to process improvements that enhance the overall customer and merchant experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor merchant quality, pricing accuracy, catalogue completeness, and product availability.
- Investigate store configuration, opening hours, and operational issues impacting merchant performance.
- Troubleshoot merchant integrations, APIs, SFTP feeds, and catalogue ingestion processes.
- Analyse operational data to identify discrepancies and support issue resolution.
- Maintain operational reports, trackers, governance activities, and documentation.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve existing processes. Required Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets experience.




- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated interest in systems, integrations, and data-driven operations.
- Bachelor's degree required. Preferred Experience
- Retail Operations, E-commerce Operations, Marketplace Operations, Merchant Operations, or Business Operations experience.
- Experience in technical support, retail technology, or operational support functions.
- Familiarity with product catalogues, inventory management, or data quality processes.
- Basic SQL knowledge is advantageous. Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working model with office attendance on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Sydney CBD location.
- Full-time contract position.
- One week of on-the-job training provided.
