About Us

Smokin’ Joe’s Pizza & Grill is looking for an experienced and reliable Pizza & Pasta Cook to join our team in Victoria Point!

We serve delicious pizzas, pasta, ribs and juicy chicken parmi. We're looking for someone passionate about food who takes pride in preparing quality meals and enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment.

About the Role

This is primarily a kitchen-based position, with a strong focus on making pizzas, preparing pasta dishes and assisting with general kitchen operations.

We're looking for someone who can work efficiently, maintain consistent food quality and help keep the kitchen organised. You may occasionally assist with front-of-house duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and making pizzas to our recipes and quality standards.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of pasta & grill items.
- Operating pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Following food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling practices.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well stocked.
- Working efficiently during busy service periods.
- Assisting with general kitchen cleaning and closing procedures.
- Occasionally assisting with customer orders and front-of-house duties when needed.

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and passionate about food.

- Previous experience in pizza making, pasta preparation or a commercial kitchen is highly regarded.




- Freshers with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- A solid work ethic, reliability and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings as required and weekends must be available.

Experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right candidate. We are happy to train someone who has a great attitude, is eager to learn and is willing to work hard.

Work Requirements & Availability

- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform general kitchen duties.
- Willing to assist with different kitchen tasks and occasionally support front-of-house operations when needed.
- Flexible availability is preferred.
- Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Working hours and roster arrangements will be discussed during the interview.
