We’re looking for an experienced lender with a strong local reputation who loves building relationships and being part of their community. You’ll split your time between meeting customers, local businesses and referral partners face-to-face, and looking after enquiries that come in online and by phone. You’ll manage your own diary and decide how best to grow your pipeline. About Horizon Bank We’re a community-focused bank. The role You’ll own lending opportunities from first conversation to settlement, while building the relationships that create a steady pipeline of current business. You’ll:
- Build relationships with real estate agents, accountants, solicitors, local businesses and community organisations.
- Follow up leads we provide and generate your own new lending opportunities across the Bega Valley.
- Meet customers where it suits them – at a branch, their workplace, online, home or elsewhere.
- Manage applications from enquiry through assessment, approval and settlement.
- Represent Horizon Bank in the local community.




- Work closely with our branch and lending teams, with the autonomy to manage your own network. About you You’re an established lender/BDM whose customers and referral partners value the service you provide. You’re as comfortable building relationships as assessing applications. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Strong consumer lending experience.
- Sound credit assessment and lending judgement.
- An established network of local relationships and a track record of generating new business.
- Confidence networking and developing referral partners.
- The ability to work independently and own the process from enquiry to settlement.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- A practical, responsive, customer-focused approach.
- Commercial lending experience not essential but highly regarded. Above all, you’ll genuinely enjoy getting to know people and being part of the community you work in. Why Horizon?
