Psychiatrist – Contractor Position

Supernova Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Psychiatrist to join our growing multidisciplinary healthcare team on a contractor basis.

We are committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare services and are looking for a psychiatrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care to our diverse community.

Position Details

- Position: Psychiatrist
- Employment Type: Independent Contractor
- Location: Supernova Medical Centre, Tarneit, VIC
- Working Hours: Flexible – negotiable
- Commencement: Immediate start preferred

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment and management plans.
- Provide medication reviews and ongoing psychiatric care.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, psychologists and other allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure appropriate clinical documentation.
- Provide referrals and coordinate care with other healthcare providers where required.

Essential Requirements





- Current specialist registration with AHPRA as a Psychiatrist.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and Recent Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), or equivalent recognised specialist qualifications.
- Current professional indemnity insurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Ability to work independently as a contractor.
