About Bancho Bar:

Bancho Bar is an intimate, high-energy cocktail and whisky bar hidden in the heart of Haymarket’s Chinatown. We take pride in delivering top-tier hospitality, exceptional service, and showcasing one of Sydney’s largest selections of Japanese whisky alongside bespoke craft cocktails.

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic Bartender to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who wants to learn the ropes of a busy cocktail bar, support the bartenders on shift, and grow their skills behind the bar. Duties include:

- Assisting bartenders with preparation and service
- Stocking and restocking the bar during service
- Polishing and preparing glassware
- Collecting and washing barware
- Garnish and ingredient prep
- Running drinks to tables when required
- Keeping the bar clean, organised, and service-ready
- Supporting with closing and pack-down duties

Required:

- Current RSA
- Availability Thursday to Saturday nights (required)
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and teamwork focus

Who we’re looking for:

- Previous bar, or hospitality experience (1+ year preferred, but training provided)
- Someone proactive who can anticipate the needs of the bar team
- Keen interest in cocktails, whisky,



and Japanese hospitality
- Reliable, motivated, and ready to grow with us

Job details:

- Type: Part-time Level 2
- Pay: Award rates (starting from $27.08–$40.62/hour - evening/weekend loadings and tips).
- Schedule: Thursdays to Saturdays
- Availability: Shifts available now
