- Carry out inspection, servicing, maintenance and repairs of diesel-powered machinery, plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workplace procedures.
- Diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment, testing procedures and technical manuals, and determine appropriate repair requirements.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace and reassemble engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, braking systems, cooling systems, fuel systems and other mechanical components.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, adjustments, component inspections and replacement of worn or defective parts.
- Conduct mechanical testing and operational checks following repairs to ensure machinery is protected, reliable and operating to required specifications.
- Carry out in-house service and repair work and machine fit-up/commissioning, including modifications and installation of mechanical components to meet customer requirements.
- Use a range of hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, diagnostic equipment and workshop machinery safely and correctly.
- Identify and rectify mechanical,



hydraulic and electrical-related faults associated with diesel-powered machinery, where within the mechanic's scope of work.
- Read and interpret manufacturer service manuals, technical specifications, drawings and maintenance documentation when carrying out repairs and servicing.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete repair, maintenance and machine fit-up projects safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair reports and parts information and report identified defects or additional repair requirements.
- Comply with WHS requirements, safe work procedures and manufacturer specifications at all times.

Pay: $42.00 – $50.00 per hour

Experience:

- Diesel mechanic: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- MR Licence (Preferred)
