Are you our new therapist?

Hervey Bay Myotherapy is growing - we’re currently booked four weeks in advance, and I’m looking for another fantastic therapist to help meet the growing demand for appointments.

We’re located centrally in Hervey Bay at the new Healthia Hub, in a professional, modern healthcare environment with other allied health practitioners around us.

I’ve built Hervey Bay Myotherapy around providing personalised, hands-on care while helping clients understand their pain, move better and feel more confident in their bodies. We’re also growing strongly in the women’s health space, including pregnancy, postpartum rehabilitation and scar therapy. Not into women's health? That's O.K. too! I'm open to all therapists and their passions.

The role

Clinic availability is currently:

- Mondays 8am-5.30pm
- Wednesdays 8am-5.30pm
- Saturday mornings 9am-1pm

There is flexibility around how many of these days you choose to work, so this could suit someone looking for regular part-time work or someone wanting to build their client base.

What I’m looking for

You’ll be a qualified and insured:

- Remedial Massage Therapist, or
- Myotherapist

Ideally, I’m looking for someone with at least 1–2 years’ clinical experience who is confident working independently and enjoys clinical problem-solving. That said, I’m absolutely open to the right new graduate. If you’re motivated, personable, passionate about hands-on therapy and keen to learn, I’m happy to have a conversation.

Mentoring & support

If you’re someone who wants to continue developing your clinical skills, mentoring is available.

I’m more than happy to share my knowledge and experience, work through clinical cases and help you build your confidence in areas you’d like to develop. I’ll also actively support you in building your own client base.

You won’t be expected to simply walk in the door and magically have a full book!

I want you to succeed, grow your confidence and build a thriving caseload.

Your success is our success.

What you’ll get

- Contractor rate at 60% of treatment fees, including superannuation
- A beautiful, skilled clinic at the new Healthia Hub
- A central Hervey Bay location
- Your own treatment space
- Laundry facilities on site
- An established local business and client network
- A steady flow of new client enquiries
- Support in building your own client base
- Mentoring and clinical support if wanted
- Flexibility around your working days
- The opportunity to develop your own client base and caseload
- A supportive working environment
- The freedom to develop your own style as a therapist
- A clinic that values education, professional development and good clinical reasoning

And importantly, you’ll be joining a business where I genuinely care about the people I work with.

The kind of person I’m looking for

Someone who is:

- Warm, friendly and approachable
- Professional and reliable
- Confident communicating with clients
- Passionate about hands-on therapy
- Interested in continuing to learn
- Comfortable working independently
- Happy to collaborate and share ideas
- Genuinely invested in helping their clients
- Proficient in note taking - we use Cliniko.

I’m not looking for someone to simply fill a treatment room.

I’m looking for the right person to become part of the next stage of Hervey Bay Myotherapy.

If you’re looking for somewhere you can treat great clients, continue developing your skills, build a strong caseload and have genuine support behind you, I’d love to hear from you.

Interested?

Send through your resume and a little bit about yourself, including what you love about being a therapist and what you’re looking for in your next role.
