MKR Groups operates Japanese restaurants and izakayas across Sydney, including Kushi 2095 in Manly, Jizakana in Cammeray and Kushi Potts Point.

We are currently looking for kitchen team members to join our restaurants in Sydney.

1. Chef | Kushi 2095

Location: 10 Belgrave Street, Manly, NSW 2095

Immediate openings available.

Responsibilities

- Assist in food preparation and cooking
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area

2. Sushi,sashimi / Chef | Jizakana

Location: Cammeray

Jizakana is a Japanese restaurant known for our authentic cuisine and warm hospitality. We are currently seeking a skilled Hot Food Cook to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook hot dishes according to menu specifications
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets our standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Hot Food Cook or similar role in a Japanese or Asian cuisine restaurant
- Knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

The Role

- Lead the grill and yakitori section alongside our team
- Create consistently delicious dishes and maintain kitchen standards
- Mentor junior staff and help cultivate a positive, high-energy team
- Contribute to the growth and success of our kitchen
