The Acacia Tree is an Australian premium solid timber furniture brand, with showrooms in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast and more on the way. We're looking for a Sales Manager to take how we sell to the next level, with every showroom selling the same way, and to lead it from the floor.

The role

A player-manager role: about 2 days a week selling, 3 days leading the team. Based at our Brighton head office and showroom, with some interstate travel and one weekend day a week. Some work from home on admin days. Reports to the COO and CEO.

What you'll own

- Refining our sales process and scripts so every showroom sells the same way

- Coaching every salesperson through weekly one-on-ones, scorecards and call reviews

- Lifting average order value and add-on sales across the team

- Making sure no lead is lost: rosters, call coverage, and follow-up on every quote and online cart

- Managing visual merchandising across every showroom, so every display looks its best

- Improving and adding to the sales resources the team uses to train and sell: playbook, scripts and product guides

- Working with our marketing and orders teams so every department runs in sync

- Hiring, onboarding and training new salespeople as we grow





What success looks like

In 12 months: team sales growing against an agreed target, every showroom selling the same way, and a team that is measurably better than when you started.

About you

- 3+ years leading a retail sales team in a big-ticket category: furniture, homewares, interiors, etc.

- A track record of growing team sales, with the numbers to show it

- Experience lifting the results of an existing team

- Still a strong closer who enjoys selling

- Organised, comfortable with data, and relentless on follow-through

- Premium furniture or interiors experience is a bonus
