About the role

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the bar, maintaining high service standards and supporting the wider management team with daily venue operations. This is a hands-on position, with approximately 90% of your time spent working on the floor and behind the bar.

Key responsibilities

- Lead by example, working alongside the bar team during daily services.

- Prepare and serve cocktails, wines and beverages to a consistently high standard.

- Supervise, train and support bartenders, ensuring a positive and productive working workplace.

- Maintain excellent service standards and create memorable experiences for our guests.

- Manage daily bar setup, service and closing procedures.

- Oversee stock levels, ordering, stocktakes and waste management.

- Support the venue management team with daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash-ups, end-of-day reporting and administrative duties.

- Assist the management team in overseeing service and supporting the restaurant floor when required.

- Help drive beverage sales through product knowledge, recommendations and guest engagement.

- Maintain cleanliness, organisation and compliance with RSA and food safety requirements.

About you

- Previous experience as a Bar Manager,



Bar Supervisor or Senior Bartender in a quality restaurant or busy hospitality venue.

- Strong cocktail knowledge and a genuine passion for wines, spirits and hospitality.

- Confidence working behind the bar during busy services.

- Previous experience supervising and training a small team.

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

- An understanding of stock control, ordering and beverage costs.

- The ability to assist with cash handling, daily reporting and venue opening and closing procedures.

- Strong communication skills and a positive, hands-on attitude.

- A current NSW RSA certificate.
