Doctors. Done Different.

We're looking for GPs for Saturday and Sunday mornings. Weekends are when our working families can actually get to a doctor. We'd like them to see someone who'll still be here next month, not a different face every weekend.

The money, up front

We're a private-billing practice, and we charge properly for weekend medicine:

- Saturday: 150% of our standard fees

- Sunday: 200% of our standard fees

- You keep 70% of billings, less a small hospitality contribution

We charge by the time booked, so the sums are simple. A 15-minute appointment is about $165 on a Saturday and $220 on a Sunday. A full hour bills about $660 on a Saturday and $880 on a Sunday. That's roughly $456 and $611 an hour to you.

Books that fill

Our weekend sessions are busy. No GP here has ever struggled to fill a weekend. Even so, for the right doctor we'll consider a minimum income guarantee for an agreed period.

The hours, and room to grow

We open 7:30am to 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. One morning or both is fine. Want Saturday afternoons or a full Sunday? Tell us. We'll extend the hours for the right doctor, because we'd rather build the weekend around you than fit you into a gap. And as our availability widens in the future, weekday sessions will open up for the right GP too.

What a weekend here looks like

- Your own patients. Weekend patients are regulars too, and we book them back to you. It's continuity, not a conveyor belt.

- Proper appointments. You choose your appointment lengths, our fees are published and our gaps are honest. Nobody will ask you to churn.

- The Bothy is open with you. It's our in-house coffee shop with a real barista, and patients waiting for you are handed a coffee at $0.00. They arrive warm, unhurried and holding a flat white.

- IT that works. We use Best Practice,



plus an in-house system that runs the roster, the fees, the coffee shop till and the practice playlist (the MD has a veto).

Who we are

We're doctor-owned and doctor-operated. There's no head office, no regional manager and no monthly slide deck about "throughput". Two GPs built The Village as the kind of practice they'd want to be seen in themselves: old-fashioned family medicine in a modern building, where patients are known by name. Our logo is a Scottish croft, our coffee shop is The Bothy, and the whole place runs on the idea that a practice should feel like a village.

We're a team of 14 GPs who go deep on things: ADHD assessment and prescribing, menopause, and skin through The Village Skin Studio. We're also an RACGP-accredited teaching practice. If you have a special interest, bring it and we'll help you build a caseload around it.

Who we'd love to hear from

- A vocationally registered GP (FRACGP/FACRRM) with general AHPRA registration, or an IMG on a explicit pathway. We're in a Distribution Priority Area, so we can support doctors working under 19AB or the moratorium.

- You must already hold a valid Australian visa with work rights. We can support the right candidate from there, but we can't arrange sponsorship from scratch.

- Weekend-only is welcome, whether your weekdays go on a hospital, a university, your family or a quieter life.

- A sense of humour isn't on the person specification, but you'll need one.
