We’re not looking for someone to just punch numbers into a spreadsheet. We’re looking for an estimator who gets the quantities right, understands what’s at stake commercially, and wants to grow with a business scaling toward $50M.

Working closely with our Lead Estimator & Pre-Contract Manager, you’ll take tenders from first site visit and take-off through to accurate pricing and a clean, fully documented handover. If you’ve seen a tender go sideways because of a missed scope item or a rushed quantity, you’ll know exactly why this role matters.

What you’ll own

- Take-offs and quantities that are right the first time. Analyse tenders, set them up in SimPRO by the due date, and build accurate Bills of Quantities across remedial waterproofing and roofing projects.
- Work your Lead Estimator can rely on. Prepare take-offs and pricing clearly so tenders can be reviewed and submitted without rework.
- Tender coordination and customer contact. Stay on top of tender due dates and RFIs, and attend site meetings with customers and subcontractors to review scope.
- A pipeline that keeps moving. Follow up on quotes in our sent queue, contribute to our weekly sales pipeline meeting, and build strong working relationships with our preferred subcontractors.
- Tender files ready before the meeting. Make sure specifications are captured in full and that material and subcontractor prices are sourced and accurate.



Support variations and project documentation so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Always a better way. Spot ways to make our estimating faster and more accurate, find new products, and help deliver Danrae’s strategic milestones.

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience in construction estimating, ideally in remedial building works, waterproofing or roofing.
- A sharp eye for detail: you capture the full scope with no gaps, aligned to spec, and you check your own work.
- Commercial awareness: you understand what drives cost, margin and risk on a job, and you flag issues early.
- SimPRO or equivalent estimating software experience. AutoCAD or take-off tools are a bonus.
- Knowledge of waterproofing materials (PVC, torch-on, Butynol) and the NCC and waterproofing standards is highly regarded.
- A tertiary certificate in construction is highly regarded.
- A transparent communicator by phone, email and on site.
- Someone who follows systems properly, works with urgency, and takes ownership when things go wrong.
