About the role

Adelaide Hills Education Centre is seeking 3 experienced and passionate Educators to join our team on a casual basis.

- A Maths secondary teacher, Years 7 - 10

- An English secondary teacher, Years 7-9

- A primary teacher, Years 4-6

This is an exciting opportunity to work with school students in the Adelaide Hills

What you'll be doing

1. Provide a high level of academic teaching to assist students to improve their skills and confidence.

2. Develop personalised learning plans to cater to each student's individual needs and learning style.

3. Deliver individualised programmes in small group tutoring sessions. Maximum of 2 students.

4. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.

5. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.

6. Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on student progress.

What we're looking for

1. Relevant teaching experience. Semi-retired and retired teachers welcome.

2. A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is preferred.

3. Teaching or tutoring experience from any educational setting will be considered towards the 5-year requirement.

4. Ability to teach concepts from beginner level to advanced as required.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.

6. Show initiative and flexibility; work co-operatively.

7. Adaptability and creativity in tailoring your teaching approach to individual student needs.

Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.

9. Relevant teaching qualifications and a Working With Children Check.

10. An education degree is required for this position.
