Child Psychologist, Art Therapist or Mental Health Social Worker
Therapy role | North Lakes | 65% or 70% practitioner split
Approx. $100–$194 per completed session, depending on qualifications and applicable session fees.
Love working with kids? Prefer a few grown-ups in your diary too? Even better!
At The Psychology Hub, we know what we’re looking for — but we’d also love to know what you’re looking for.
Perhaps you want two days alongside another role. Perhaps Saturdays suit your family better. Perhaps you love working with children but enjoy the variety of seeing adolescents and adults too.
We’d love to hear about it!
We’re seeking a Psychologist, Art Therapist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker to provide therapy at our North Lakes clinic. A child-focused caseload is welcome, and an interest in a mixed-age caseload is particularly valued.
What’s on Offer?
- 65% or 70% of session fees to you, depending on qualifications.
- A therapy-focused role, with a caseload suited to your skills and clinical interests.
- Private and NDIS clients, plus Medicare, WorkCover and CTP referrals, depending on your profession and provider eligibility.
- Referrals and administrative support to help you gradually build a sustainable caseload.
- A warm, down-to-earth, clinician-led multidisciplinary practice.
- Clinical autonomy, with an experienced team around you.
Let’s Talk Days and Hours
We’re ideally looking for two or more days per week, with these options:
- 8 am–4 pm and/or 12 pm–8 pm, with six client appointments per day.
- Saturdays, with flexible start and finish times.
Six clients in an eight-hour window — how you arrange the remaining two hours is up to you! Start later, finish earlier, take a longer break or spread a few smaller breaks throughout your day. Arrange your appointments in a way that works for you.
Thinking, “That sounds lovely, but I’d need something a little different”? Tell us!
These are our preferred arrangements, but we’re always open to suggestions if you need a role to work around other commitments.
What You’ll Bring
You enjoy working therapeutically with children, connecting with families and tailoring your approach to the person in front of you. You bring warmth, sound clinical skills and confidence working independently, alongside good organisation and timely clinical documentation.
You’ll also meet the requirements for your profession:
- Psychologist: Full general registration with AHPRA, with or without an area of practice endorsement. This chance is not suitable for provisional psychologists.
- Art Therapist: A master’s qualification in art therapy and current professional registration with ANZACATA.
- Social Worker: Current Accredited Mental Health Social Worker status with the AASW.
Interested? Or Just Curious?
You don’t need a perfectly polished cover letter. Send us your CV and a little about yourself, including:
- The clients and therapy work you enjoy.
- Your preferred days and hours.
- Anything you’d like us to consider to help the role fit around your other commitments.
Not quite sure? Have another idea in mind? We’re happy to hear it.

No obligation. Just an email. We’ll let you know honestly whether we can make it work, and if we’re aligned, we’ll arrange an informal chat.
