Production Manager – Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing activities at an established precast concrete manufacturing facility in Darwin.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing, with proven experience managing production teams, coordinating schedules, improving productivity and taking ownership of production outcomes.

Precast concrete experience is not required. We are looking for a capable manufacturing manager who can lead people, manage production efficiently and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily manufacturing activities, production schedules and workforce allocation.

- Lead production supervisors, tradespeople and manufacturing employees.

- Ensure production targets, deadlines and quality standards are achieved.

- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and mould availability.

- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

- Improve productivity, labour utilisation and manufacturing processes.

- Maintain workplace safety, housekeeping and quality standards.

- Monitor production performance and report on output, delays and improvement opportunities.





- Take ownership of day-to-day production issues and drive them through to resolution.

About You

- Proven experience in manufacturing or production management.

- Demonstrated ability to lead, organise and hold a production team accountable.

- Strong planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills.

- Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and labour management.

- Comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment.

- Able to make decisions, set priorities and take responsibility for outcomes.

- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

- Precast concrete, concrete products, steel fabrication or similar manufacturing experience is advantageous.
