Roster- Permanent part-time, with flexible daytime hours. School-friendly hours may be available

Remuneration- $33-$38 per hour, commensurate with experience

Experience- Previous veterinary/medical/dental/physio etc experience desirable.

Warners Bay Vet is a friendly, independently owned small animal hospital located on the beautiful shores of Lake Macquarie, in the Newcastle region.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic receptionist to become an important part of our team!

About the Role

As the first point of contact for many of our clients, you will play an important role in creating a friendly,



welcoming and professional experience for everyone who visits or contacts our hospital.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming clients and their pets to the clinic.

- Answering telephone calls and responding to client enquiries.

- Scheduling and managing appointments.

- Processing payments and assisting with general accounts.

- Maintaining accurate client and patient records.

- Assisting with general reception and administrative duties.

- Helping maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming reception and front-of-house environment.

- Working closely with our veterinary and nursing team to help the clinic run smoothly.

About You

We would love to hear from someone who:

- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Is friendly, compassionate and genuinely enjoys working with people.

- Is organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy setting.

- Is confident using computers and learning new software.

- Works well as part of a team and has a positive, can-do attitude.

- Has a genuine interest in animals and their wellbeing.

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic would be an advantage, but is not essential.

We would equally welcome applications from experienced receptionists in medical, dental or other customer-focused environments who are interested in bringing their skills to veterinary practice.
