About the role

DKB Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Plumber/Pipelayer to join our team in Bundaberg, Queensland. This is a full-time position that offers the prospect to work on diverse plumbing and pipelaying projects whilst contributing to our reputation for quality workmanship and professional service delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and pipeline systems across both residential and commercial and civil settings. Your expertise will be fundamental to ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

- Installing and repairing plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings in residential and commercial properties

- Laying and joining pipes for water supply, drainage, and gas systems

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate installation

- Testing completed plumbing systems for leaks, functionality, and compliance with relevant standards

- Diagnosing plumbing problems and implementing effective solutions

- Maintaining work areas in a clean and safe condition, adhering to health and safety regulations

- Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors, and other tradespeople on site

- Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes, Australian standards, and local regulations

- Using hand tools, power tools, and specialist equipment safely and appropriately

What we're looking for

- A valid plumbing or pipelaying qualification or apprenticeship recognised in Australia

- Current registration or licence to work as a plumber or pipelayer in Queensland

- Proven experience in plumbing and pipelaying work across residential and/or commercial projects

- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations in Queensland

- Proficiency with hand tools,



power tools, and diagnostic equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- A commitment to health and safety best practices on site

- Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions
