About the role

Jamaica Blue Innaloo is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Cooks to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment where culinary excellence and customer satisfaction are paramount. Based in Innaloo, WA 6018, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen setting, preparing quality meals and maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items according to established recipes and quality standards

- Ensuring all food is prepared in a hygienic and timely manner to meet customer expectations

- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and health regulations

- Following portion control guidelines and plating standards to ensure consistency across all dishes

- Collaborating with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service

- Monitoring stock levels and communicating with management regarding ingredient requirements

- Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, ovens and other cooking appliances

- Responding to special dietary requirements and requests from customers where possible

- Contributing to the overall efficiency and positive atmosphere of the kitchen team

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in a busy kitchen environment, preferably in hospitality or food service

- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen safety standards

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of food quality

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene and presentation





- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take direction from senior kitchen staff

- Physical fitness and stamina to manage the demands of a fast-paced kitchen

- Flexibility to work casual shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Food Safety certification or willingness to obtain it

- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous
