The firm
Rose Legal are one of the leading experts in legal costs disputes and have been instructed by approximately 130 different law firms, in a range of different matters.
Established in 2021, the firm has doubled in size in the past 12 months and continues to have a growth strategy which will be led by employee development in the firm. Many of its employees have progressed from entry level paralegals to Associates or case manager and will continue to do so to facilitate the firm’s growth. Rose Legal has also funded PLT fees for select employees based on their performance and would be willing to do so again for the right candidate.
The firm offers a cooperative and encouraging workplace in which to work, and invests heavily in the right employees, both in time and training.
We have been instructed in some of the highest profile cases in Australia in regard to a range of costs issues. This includes in publicised defamation cases, and litigation spanning many years.
We encourage all successful candidates to develop into the role of handling their own caseload and being admitted as a solicitor within the firm.
The role
The role will initially entail assisting with preparing Application for Assessment of costs, and assisting with litigation matters. This will require exceptional drafting skills and attention to detail. Once the candidate has illustrated their ability to do this, the hope is that the right candidate will move onto a role managing their own costs assessments and cases.
Remuneration
Following successful completion of a candidate’s probation period, they will receive a pay increase and be placed onto an attractive bonus scheme which is uncapped. On average, the bonus scheme pays an uplift of 20%-25% on top of the basic salary.
If candidates manage to progress and take their own case load of matters, considerable pay increases will follow.
