Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Butcher role based in North Shore, NSW. The Butcher will prepare, cut, and trim meat, poultry, and seafood to specification, ensuring quality, freshness, and attractive presentation in display cases. Daily tasks include portioning and packing products, operating cutting and weighing equipment, maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards, and keeping work areas clean and organized. The role also involves assisting customers with product selection, providing cooking and preparation advice, taking special orders, and processing sales as needed.



The Butcher will work as part of a small team, supporting stock rotation, inventory checks, and effective store operations.

Qualifications
Strong skills in butchery and meat processing, including safe use of knives and equipment.
Experience handling poultry and seafood, with knowledge of proper storage and preparation methods.
Proven customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and assist customers respectfully.
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety practices.
Ability to work on-site in a physical role, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in chilled environments.
Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience in a butcher shop, supermarket meat department, or similar setting is beneficial.
Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeships in butchery or meat processing are an advantage.
