This hands-on role focuses on post-processing and finishing metal and polymer 3D-printed components, with exposure to advanced metal powder bed fusion (PBF), industrial polymer 3D printing, CNC machinery, manual lathes and mechanical assembly. You will work with materials including titanium, Scalmalloy and high-performance engineering polymers.

This is a production-focused role involving repetitive work. Consistent care, concentration and quality are essential.

Key responsibilities
Remove supports, clean, deburr, sand, drill, tap, fit and finish components.
Operate CNC machinery and manual lathes, with training where required.
Manufacture and assemble specialised frames, components and equipment to engineering drawings and work instructions.
Use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment, and inspect dimensional accuracy, surface finish, fit and workmanship.
Assist with production, assembly, boxing and packing, and maintain tooling, machinery and a clean, organised workshop.
Help the engineering team improve finishing methods, tooling and production processes.

About you

You are practical,



mechanically minded, confident with hand and power tools, reliable and organised. You take pride in your workmanship, can work independently once trained and maintain consistent quality through repetitive production runs. You recognise when something is not right and are prepared to stop, investigate or ask. You welcome feedback and want to keep learning and improving.

Experience and development

Experience in additive manufacturing, CNC or lathe operation, machining, fabrication, assembly or production is valued. Reading engineering drawings and using vernier calipers or micrometers would also be beneficial.

Experience in every area and formal trade or engineering qualifications are not essential. We will train the right person, with prospects for suitable candidates to develop equipment servicing, fault-finding, maintenance and repair skills.

Attitude, practical ability, attention to detail, work ethic and willingness to learn matter most.
