Convoy Commune is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team full-time in Merewether.

We’re a busy, community-focused café known for quality food, specialty coffee, and warm hospitality. We pride ourselves on delivering a consistently exceptional experience for our customers, and we’re looking for a chef who shares that commitment.

About the Role

As Chef, you’ll be responsible for leading day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining high food standards, and contributing to the continued growth and creativity of our food offering. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a quick-paced café environment and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver high-quality breakfast and lunch service
Maintain consistency, presentation, and food quality standards
Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and new dishes
Manage stock ordering, rotation, and waste control
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements
Contribute to effective kitchen operations and service flow





About You
Previous experience as a Chef in a café, restaurant, or similar venue
Strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen systems, and food safety
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Positive attitude and team-first approach
Reliable, motivated, and passionate about hospitality
