Database Engineer/Administrator Initial 3 months contract Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join a high-performing technology team supporting critical enterprise database environments. This is an excellent prospect for a database professional with strong expertise across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based database platforms to contribute to the stability, performance, and security of business-critical systems. Required Skills & Experience
• Robust hands-on experience administering and supporting SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Azure SQL Database environments.
• Demonstrated experience in database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management.
• Robust knowledge of high-availability architectures, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery practices.
• Experience managing databases in cloud environments,



including Microsoft Azure and AWS RDS.
• Advanced SQL development skills, including query optimisation, indexing strategies, and stored procedure development.
• Experience monitoring database health, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Desirable
• Experience with database automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
